Jijamata Mahila Mandal was founded in 1991 Smt. Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidylaya Daryapur was establishment by the mandal provide higher education to girl. The farmer community and back work class of western vidarbha. Most of the students admitted to the college belong to the Rural background.
Sociology department is very much since the establishment of the college from 1991 as the college had an inadequate infrastructure the department is not provided with special room and also it is single man dept. However the response to the department is excellent.
Right from the beginning of the department the students strength ranges from 100 to 200 Girls. However the present scenario of Social, Political, Condition is in real sense a shocking thing regarding to media flashes one can easily guess the influence of western culture on the society and Government as well as the suicidal attempt of Vidarbha farmer entrapped in financial debts Obliviously the wards of these farmers are undergoing frustration and this affect the education career of our students.
