LIBRARY
In Higher education the library has its own importance. It helps in widening the range of knowledge and information of teachers and students. The Library of Smt. Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Daryapur was established in the year 1991. Since then library has made consistent progress in terms of collection of books, Periodicals, CDs, E-resources, services and Infrastructure provided.
Our college library has tried it’s best to provide necessary material to all the components of the college and looked after the qualitative and quantitative growth in library facilities. The Library is considered as an integral part in the academic activities of the college. It has a collection of more than 7538 Books, 16 Periodicals/ Journals. The Library provides services to all the users of this college. The Library is Partially automated with Libsoft Software.
Objectives of the Library:
To Provide information sources for teaching, learning process in the subject field of interest to the Institution.
To aid the teachers to be abreast of the latest development in their areas of specialization by providing books, journals and other material in preparation of their instructional courses.
To develop and maintain reading habits
to sharpen their intellectual curiosity.
To extend library services and interpret library collection to users.
To provide information about recent advancements in various fields to develop the carriers of students for job opportunities and self among the students.
To aid the students in their personal growth and development.
Rules and Regulation
Silence must be observed in the library.
No student will be allowed to avail Library facility without valid ID card and library card.
Every staff / student of the college is eligible for membership of the library.
The library can be utilized by the students and staff on working days.
All students should sign the entry register of the library, before entering.
Books borrowing limit: Faculties-10, Non Teaching staff- 02, Student- U.G. 01, P.G.-02
Mobile use is strictly prohibited in library.
Borrower’s tickets are not transferable.
Following types of books shall not be lent out of the library.
- Reference books.
- Maps.
- Back volume of periodicals.
- Syllabus, Question papers.
Books are to be handled very carefully. If a book is lost by the student, she shall replace the book ( same title, author and edition) or shall pay the cost of the book as fine.
The borrowed book should be returned on or before due date, if not, overdue charge of Rs
per day for students will be collected.
If the due date falls on holidays, return can be done on the following working day without fine.
All students should return their library barrower ticket and library book based on library circular and obtain “NO DUE CERTIFICATE” from the library for getting Hall ticket
